Autodesk® Productstream™ software automates the release-management process by managing engineering changes and bills of materials (BOMs), which allows engineering departments to maintain control over the design data after release to adjacent departments.
Autodesk Productstream also allows your company to define a formal and automated release process so you can easily track changes and manage a complete BOM for all designs. These processes can help eliminate costly errors and delays by drastically reducing manual data entry, making sure design changes are communicated back to engineering, and enabling correct parts to be ordered or manufactured and ensuring correct parts are ordered or manufactured for a specific design. Engineering can more easily share design information knowing released information is secure and changes cannot be made without implementation of a formal engineering change order.
